When a commercial site comes together, it starts way before anyone plants a single shrub or lays sod. It starts with the ground itself. Getting the grade right, routing water where it needs to go, and setting up the entire property so it functions properly from day one - that's the work that makes everything else possible.

That's exactly what we're in the middle of here. This is a full commercial package - grading, drainage, and a complete landscaping scope for a new build in Macon. The site is wide open red Georgia clay right now, which means we have a clean slate to work with. We're using a Bobcat T770 track loader and a Ditch Witch mini track loader to move material, shape the land, and get the drainage infrastructure positioned correctly before anything goes in the ground.

Drainage on a commercial site is not something you figure out after the fact. If the grade isn't right, water pools where it shouldn't, erosion sets in fast, and you end up with headaches that cost far more to fix than they would have to prevent. We plan it out from the start - slopes, swales, pipe runs - so the site sheds water the way it's supposed to, every time it rains.

Once the site grading and drainage are dialed in, the landscaping package ties it all together. A commercial property that's functional AND looks sharp is a real asset. It sets the tone for the business operating out of it. We take that seriously, whether we're shaping the land or putting the finishing touches on the exterior.

If you've got a commercial site coming up and need a crew that can handle the full scope - from excavation and grading through the final landscaping install - this is the kind of work we do every day. Solid groundwork first. Everything else follows.
