Most backyards have the space for something like this. What they're missing is the setup that actually makes it worth spending time out there. That's exactly what we set out to fix here - a fully functional outdoor kitchen that handles real cooking and real entertaining without cutting corners on how it looks.
The layout is an L-shaped run built into natural stone veneer, topped with custom granite countertops throughout. We incorporated a Blaze grill, a second charcoal-style grill on the far end, a side burner, stainless steel storage doors and drawers, and a built-in refrigerator. A dedicated sink with its own faucet is tucked right into the counter run. Everything a well-stocked kitchen needs - just outside.
What we like about builds like this is how intentional everything is. The stainless appliances sit flush against the stonework. The granite runs edge-to-edge with clean mitered corners. Nothing feels bolted on or like an afterthought. That takes planning before a single stone gets laid, and it shows in how clean the finished product looks.
The whole setup sits on a paver patio that wraps around the back of the property, with a pool view in the distance. The outdoor kitchen becomes the natural anchor point for the whole space - whether you're cooking for two or feeding a crowd after a long week. Stone, granite, stainless, and pavers. It all works together because we built it to.
This is what a properly built outdoor kitchen does for a backyard. It stops being just a yard and starts being a place people actually want to hang out. We build these from the ground up - stonework, countertops, appliance integration, the whole thing. If you've been thinking about it, this is what it looks like when it's done right.
