We're deep into one of the bigger hardscape jobs we've taken on - a large multi-family development in Charlotte where we're handling everything from the concrete flatwork to full paver patio installation, stone columns, and outdoor grill stations. Scope like this takes serious coordination, and we're here for it.
Here's what we're working with: wide open concrete slabs poured and curing around a pool area, a covered outdoor pavilion with stone columns getting its paver floor set course by course, and multiple entertainment zones taking shape at the same time. It's a lot of moving parts, but that's the kind of work we're built for.
The paver installation is where you really see the craft. We're running a two-tone pattern - lighter and darker units mixing together across a large surface area. Getting that layout right from the jump matters. If your starting point is off, everything drifts. We use laser levels and string lines throughout to keep every run tight and square, even at this scale.
The covered pavilion area is coming together nicely too. Stone columns are already standing, the tongue-and-groove wood ceiling is in place, and the paver floor is being set underneath it. Once the outdoor grill stations and fireplace details are complete, this space is going to be the centerpiece of the whole property. That's always the goal with a job like this - build something that actually gets used.
Multi-family hardscape at this level isn't something every contractor can pull off. It takes experience managing concrete, pavers, and masonry across a big site without losing quality on any one of them. That's exactly what we do.
